Hourly wage begins in accordance with the GBSRP Collective Bargaining Agreement. Health insurance, dental, vision, and prescription coverage, NYS Retirement membership and all benefits as outlined in the GBSRP contract for this position.
Job Duties Include supporting food service operations for the district. This may include helping with breakfast and lunch operations. The food service helper also works directly with the Food Service Manager, Lead Food Service Helper, and others on the team for the efficient operations of the cafeteria in the building.

Preference to individuals with Teacher or Teacher Assistant Certification. Those working toward Teacher Assistant Certification will also be considered. Existing General Brown teacher assistants desiring a transfer in assignment must fill out a Teacher Transfer Request Form and submit to the District Office.
Responsibilities:
- Support delivery of Academic Intervention service in the area of Math and/or Reading (K-6)
- Challenge and educate students in a classroom setting
- Maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education, and academic intervention service providers
- Knowledge of computers, technology, google suite, is strongly desired
Qualifications:
- Ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- In accordance with New York State certification requirements for Teacher Assistant

General Brown CSD is seeking a dedicated and compassionate long-term substitute special education teacher to provide high-quality instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. This role involves implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with families and staff, and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess lessons tailored to meet the unique needs of students with IEPs.
- Implement evidence-based instructional strategies and accommodations in alignment with students' goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure effective inclusion practices.
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and team planning sessions, as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student performance and IEP implementation.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and growth.
- Address behavioral challenges using positive behavior intervention strategies.
Qualifications:
- Valid NYS teaching certification. Will consider applicants working toward certification.
- Experience working with students with disabilities, including those with learning, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with technology tools and software for special education (preferred).

Long-Term Part-Time Physical Therapist Vacancy

School-based physical therapists (PT) are part of a team of related service providers who support a student’s ability to access his/her educational environment. As specialists in movement, they assist a student’s physical participation in a variety of settings throughout the school day. The primary role of the school PT is to help students benefit from their educational program within the educational environment.
